“ I stumbled upon this gem on Google, and I'm so glad I did! The food was absolutely delicious; I had the pulled pork, and it was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful. Their poutine was also fantastic, with the perfect ratio of cheese curds to gravy, and the fries were crispy. But the real star of the show was the smoked meat – some of the best I've ever had. Beyond the incredible food, the owner was amazing, so welcoming and friendly, making the whole experience even better. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a truly delicious and enjoyable meal. ”

I was served by a courteous server, and when it was time to settle the bill, the proprietor, Andre, personally assisted me. We discovered shared interests, resulting in an engaging conversation. Regarding the cuisine, I ordered onion rings and a hamburger. Despite a brief walk to the nearby waterfront, the onion rings remained crispy, though slightly oily, so I was unable to finish them all. However, I preserved them for later enjoyment, and they retained their deliciousness. The hamburger was delectable. Andre offered me some of his signature hot sauce, which complemented the burger perfectly with its ideal spiciness. Although the patty appeared dry, it was, in fact, succulent and flavorful. As the adage goes, appearances can be deceiving. I intend to return to this establishment in the future. ”

“ It’s my first week in Montreal and my only regret is not walking into the place sooner. I eat out often but I can say without a doubt this was the best poutine AND burger I’ve ever had. The poutine has squeaky cheese curds and a rich gravy with just the right consistency. L’Gros Gourmand burger is juicy, smoky, fresh and packed with flavour. Not to mention Andre, who took my order. “ We were visiting from Kelowna BC with friends Sharleen and her husband and we were all definitely delighted with the choices along with the prices. The food was delicious, ! We choose the burger with the smoked meat, and a grilled chicken burger with Swiss cheese , a chicken burger and another which was a crispy chicken burger. For travelers, although this area Lachine isn’t popular, but this small restaurant can be a destination you put (instead of a stop by). Everything thing is fresh made. 5-10 mins waiting time? Your smile from first bite of meal here will resolve waiting concerns. That actually lights up my day for sure. Surprisingly that we discover this place in a normal day, definitely a highlight. ”
